Gardens Getting Me Together During Covid

So from February 2019 to February 2020, been making plans, digging dirt and smelling the roses. Then March 2020. So between a couple of anxiety attack-like moments, trying to get used to the fact that breathing can be dangerous, I realized that most people didn't have a place to go.

I did.
The gardens. The botanical gardens, my clients gardens, my own little gardening plot. If any time horticultural therapy was important, the year 2020 definitely proved it. And then the summer with uprisings, not in just one country but many. And if that wasn't enough, the world is either flooding, drying out or being caught on fire. But still I have my gardens. My cosmos. My okra. My rhododendrons. My peonies. My chrysanthemums. My tall grasses. My native plants. All these plants, that despite whatever's happening, they continue to grow. So I continue to grow. So now getting myself prepared for 2021.

My plants survived the pandemic and so will I.

Cosmos. May look fragile, but can tolerate unfavorable conditions while still keeping its beauty and dignity.
